Partha Datta Ray, CEO and Founding CTO
Partha brings about 28 years of technology and management experience of designing and selling software and hardware systems and has been part of three successful founding team in the past.
With his experience in both startups and organizations such as AT&T Bell Laboratories, Silicon Compilers (An EDA startup acquired by Mentor Graphics Corporation), Telerate (An online Trading Software maker acquired by Dow Jones), TeraBlaze (A Networking Semiconductor company acquired by Agere), he founded Albeado in 2010 with the vision of making predictive analytics more actionable for business decision making. He has multiple patents in areas of Decision Systems, Risk Management Automation, Cyber Security Analytics, Semiconductor Circuit Design and Network Graphs.
He led the Information Security and Data modeling group for the IEEE P2030 Smart Grid during 2009 through 2012 and has been a keynote speaker at CIO Summits and most recently has presented at IEEE International Security Conference, IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technology Summit and many other industry events.
Partha holds a BSEE and MSCS from Rutgers and has conducted advanced research work at leading academic and research institutes.
Armand Prieditis, PhD, Chief Data Scientist
Armand is a distinguished Data Scientist and an entrepreneur who has been building large-scale data science systems for over 20 years and has successfully founded two machine learning companies, one targeting search recommendations and the other delivering industrial automation solution.
Before joining Albeado, he was the Chief Data Scientist for Quantescent, developing a machine learning system for stock market prediction. Before that he was the Principal Data Scientist at Neustar, where he developed machine learning systems for DNS anomaly detection, router geo-location, malicious website detection, IP reputation, student lead scoring, movie recommendation, and DDoS amelioration. For a while he also worked as a patent engineer with distinction.
In the past he also served as Professor of Computer Science at University of California at Davis. Armand currently holds three patents and has authored 3 books in the area of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Analogical Reasoning along with numerous publications. He has been chair of International Machine Learning Conference and International Analogical Reasoning for multiple years.
He earned his Ph.D in Machine Learning from Rutgers University.
Vaishali Chaudhuri, PhD, Clinical Scientist, Computational Modeling
Vaishali brings expertise in understanding Clinical Data, Regulatory policy and Privacy issues associated with it. She holds a PhD in Virology from AIIMS, in India, where she worked on understanding Mutant Hepatitis B virus infections and what causes the mutants to stay silent in regular ELISA tests. This was followed by a visiting researcher fellowship and a post doctorate at Stanford University in microbiology and immunology. She has worked in multiple start ups in the valley. The biologist in her saw the growing need of analytics in the field of health care and drove her to pursue a masters degree in Health Informatics from University of San Francisco. Currently her passion is to use data science to solve healthcare problems.
Adam N. Morgan, PhD, Senior Solution Engineer, Data Science
Adam holds a PhD in astrophysics from UC Berkeley, where his research focused on gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), the most powerful explosions in the universe. His studies led him to an interest in the broader field of data science, and how the techniques being developed for rapid, real-time analysis of large astronomical data sets can be applied to different fields. His focus is on the automation of software pipelines for rapid machine-learned decision making and the development of methodologies for optimal statistical modeling of noisy data. Adam is also very passionate about public outreach and education, and has been active in outreach efforts ranging from local classrooms to the halls of Congress.
Maitjian Welke, Vice President, Enterprise Solutions
Maitjian is an experienced Software Executive and Entrepreneur in Silicon Valley. She spent 25+ years of her career in building complex Enterprise software and more recently Secure Enterprise Mobile Apps.
She held various Software Executive positions with Sun Microsystems, Cisco, and Good Technology with leadership experience running global engineering teams based in US, India, Europe and China. She also founded CMIT Solutions in Silicon Valley 2009 focusing on IT Infrastructure & Managed Solutions which has been expanding into Health Care and Life Science Solutions.
Maitjian has a BS in Computer Science from University of Texas at Austin.
Vinay Prabhu, PhD, Solution Engineer, Data Science
Vinay holds a PhD in Electrical Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where his research focused on utilizing underlying online information networks to help solve interesting machine learning problems such as latent sentiment detection in social networks.
His doctoral work entailed dealing with real world data from disparate domains such as finance, political science, US census and social media and harnessing ideas from Communication theory, Information theory, Machine learning and Statistical physics, to achieve enhanced inference. This venture helped crystallize his interests in the broad field of Data Science.
Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked in the domain of physical layer wireless communications and information theoretic secrecy for 4 years, both in academia and industry.
Reza Asad, Data Engineer
Reza is an applied mathematician who has studied at University of Toronto (Bachelor’s) and University of British Columbia (Master’s). Through conducting research and mathematical simulations in the field of evolutionary dynamics and game theory he has obtained a rich computational and mathematical toolbox that he has applied in data science and data engineering. His experiences range from working as an applied mathematician at The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences to a data engineering fellow at Insight. Insight is an intensive, professional training fellowship which Reza worked with big data technologies and obtained the industry specific skills required for the growing field of data engineering.
Atul Agarwal, Head of Engineering, Co-founder
Atul has founded multiple technology startups and has about 24 years of experience in building complex software systems both in technology and enterprise business domains. He currently heads a team of about 10 engineers building a Java/J2EE framework for easily and securely integrating applications based on various Smart Grid standards such as MultiSpeak, CIM and others. Atul has earlier founded and successfully grown Apt Software a software product and services company in India which provides software development and product engineering services to organizations around the world in diverse areas like energy exploration and operation, mobile platforms and applications for commerce and entertainment, semiconductor design and services He has worked with many technology startups in the Silicon Valley and currently heads the Albeado India Design Center.
He earned his Bachelor of Technology (Computer Science), at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University, USA. Atul is the founder of the Apt Group and is associated as board members of various organizations. He has earlier worked with National Semiconductor, Santa Clara where he developed software for computer aided design of VLSI circuits.
Nisha Dalal, Head of Finance and HR
Nisha Dalal serves as the company’s Head of Finance and Operations.
Nisha has over twenty years of management experience in publicly held and venture capital backed global IT and BPO industries. Her experience includes raising capital, debt financing, merger and acquisitions. Over the last 8 years she has been an entrepreneur and has established two start-up businesses and grown their revenues rapidly.
Nisha has completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Bombay in India. She also has the CPA and CMA Certifications.
Don Gibson, Sr. Director, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Gibson joins Albeado with over 20 years of successful Executive-level Corporate/SME/Entrepreneurial experience in Corporate & Business Development and Partner &Alliance management in the IT/OT Software & Solution sectors (Smart Grid Deployment; Mobile Workforce/AVL, Cloud Computing/Data Centers, CRM, SaaS, Wireless M2M).
Leveraging his extensive domain knowledge of the Power & Water Utility, Mobile Telecommunications and Professional Services and Consulting industries Mr. Gibson has consistently demonstrated a unique ability to blend, balance and integrate a comprehensive strategic orientation with high-performance operational implementation and execution.
He is a proven leader who identifies, creates and maximizes mutually profitable business opportunities while building strong and lasting relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholder groups alike.
Razvan Bohatel, Platform Development
Over the last 12 year Razvan worked with and led teams providing integration and development services as well as customer engineering for companies like Intellisync, Nokia and Microsoft. Much of this time was focused on the development and integration of complex and highly scalable data management and synchronization solutions. They range from multipoint Calendar and Contacts synchronization products to heterogeneous database synchronization solutions.
Razvan earned his MSc in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania.
William Harvey, GeoSpatial and Data analysis engineer
Bill has been working in the IT industry for 20 years with a focus on GIS technologies. He is a Certified MultiSpeak Integrator and a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). His primary expertise is in Software Engineering, Database modeling and design, and all facets of enterprise GIS.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Colorado State University in Spatial Information Systems and Natural Resource Management. He pursued his Master’s graduate work in GIS with a focus on design and engineering at CSU. He spent two years teaching remote sensing and GIS technologies before entering the professional industry as a software engineer and system architect. He has led many enterprise scale projects in both private industry and all levels of government.
Jeremy Westbrook, Utility Solution Architect and MultiSpeak coordinator
Jeremy has more than 15 years of Database engineering and Information Systems development and deployment experience in the Utility industry. At Albeado, he supports requirements gathering and application specification for next-generation cyber-security, analytics and systems integration solutions for the utility sector.
In his role as Solution Architect and MulitSpeak coordinator at Albeado, he has extensive involvement in the definition of integration standards for Electric utility back-end systems with a core focus on Integration Framework, Security and Analytics as applies to MultiSpeak interface requirements. MultiSpeak® is an initiative of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and supported by Department Of Energy (DOE).
