Partha Datta Ray, CEO and Founding CTO
Partha started his carrier at AT&T Bell Laboratories developing AI techniques for predicting performance of large scale network systems and optimizing their operations. He founded Albeado in 2010 with the goal of making predictive analytics more actionable through systems and tools delivering accuracy and explanation needed by business to trust and effectively use such predictions.
He brings more than 30 years of experience in software and hardware systems business as founding teams of three successful startups as well as leadership teams of large organizations such as AT&T Bell Laboratories, Silicon Compilers (An EDA startup acquired by Mentor Graphics Corporation), Telerate (An online Trading Software company acquired by Dow Jones), TeraBlaze (An Internet Semiconductor company acquired by Agere).
He has multiple patents in areas of Connected Risk analysis and Decision Systems, Cyber Security, Semiconductor Circuit Design Automation and Network Analysis and numerous publications in IEEE and other peer reviewed journals. He has chaired various technical committees, lead business advocacy campaigns and has been invited keynote speaker at trade conferences.
Partha holds a BSEE and MSCS from Rutgers and has conducted advanced industrial research work at leading institutes.
Armand Prieditis, PhD, Chief Data Scientist
Armand is a distinguished Data Scientist and an entrepreneur who has been building large-scale AI and Machine Learning systems for over 22 years and has successfully founded two data science companies, one targeting search recommendations and the other delivering industrial automation solution.
Before joining Albeado, he was the Chief Data Scientist for Quantescent, developing a machine learning system for stock market prediction and the Principal Data Scientist at Neustar, where he developed machine learning systems for DNS anomaly detection, router geo-location, malicious website detection, IP reputation, student lead scoring, movie recommendation, and DDoS amelioration. In his academic career as Professor of Computer Science at University of California he has led research in machine learning and delivered healthcare solutions to UCD Medical Center.
Armand currently holds three patents and has authored 3 books in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Analogical Reasoning along with numerous publications. He has been chair of International Machine Learning Conference and International Analogical Reasoning for multiple years.
He earned his PhD in AI and Machine Learning from Rutgers University under the guidance of Professor Tom Mitchell.
Atul Agarwal, VP Engineering and customer support, Co-founder
Atul has founded multiple technology startups and has more than 25 years of experience in building complex enterprise software systems. He currently heads a team of about 10 engineers building a Java/J2EE framework for developing and securely integrating AI and ML applications in industrial automation and healthcare.
Atul earlier founded and successfully grown Apt Software which provides software development and product engineering services to many technology startups in the Silicon Valley and organizations around the world in diverse areas like energy exploration, utility operation, mobile applications for commerce and entertainment and semiconductor design and services He currently heads the Albeado India Design Center.
He earned his BS at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University.
Razvan Bohatel, Chief Software Architect
Over the last 15 year Razvan has led multiple teams providing integration and development services as well as customer engineering for companies like Intellisync, Nokia and Microsoft. Much of this time was focused on the development and integration of complex and highly scalable data management and coherence solutions including heterogeneous database synchronization solutions.
Razvan earned his MSc in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania.
Anand Shirur, Commercials
Anand has more than 20 years of senior management experience in commercial strategy and business operations focused in Bio Science, Pharmaceutical, and Med-tech industries with companies like Thermo Fisher Scientific, Varian and ConvaTec. His extensive commercial background in international and multicultural environments has been key to his business success.
Ashish Mahadwar, Business Development
Ashish is a accomplished software & services executive having worked in the profession for over 25 years in various capacities. He currently is a Senior Advisor to Bain Capital advising on investments in Digital technologies & services, and serves on the Board of Advisors of Albeado & The Fabric. Previously, Ashish was a member of the Executive Board at CSC, where he setup CSC’s Emerging Business Group, including next gen technologies. Before CSC, Ashish was a member of the senior management team at Cognizant, in different roles, including, Head of Hi-Tech business, SAP business, Enterprise Applications Services & Global Head of Strategic Partnerships. All along, Ashish has been deeply involved in emerging technology trends & new business models, successfully growing a number of businesses. Ashish has previously worked with Planetasia (which he co-founded), Microland, A F Ferguson & CMC.
Nisha Dalal, Head of Finance and HR
Nisha Dalal serves as the company’s Head of Finance and Operations.
Nisha has over 20 years of management experience in publicly held and venture capital backed global IT and BPO industries. Her experience includes raising capital, debt financing, merger and acquisitions. Over the last 8 years she has been an entrepreneur and has established two start-up businesses and grown their revenues rapidly.
Nisha has completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Bombay in India. She also has the CPA and CMA Certifications.
Dr. Paul Beaupre, MD, MBA
CEO, St. John’s Medical Center
Dr. Paul Beaupre, MD, MBA, is the Chief Executive Officer of St. John’s Medical Center. Dr. Beaupre earlier served as the CEO of Good Samaritan Hospital (San Jose, California).
In the Silicon Valley medical community, he is considered a pioneer for his commitment to using technologies and strategic models to improve patient outcome and care quality along with making the hospital services more efficient. He introduced the “journey to excellence,” a commitment to improving patient-care quality and enhancing the patient’s experience.
Dr. Andrew Nguyen, PhD, UCSF;
Professor of Health informatics and Entrepreneur
Andrew got his PhD in Biological and Medical Informatics from University of California, San Francisco, after getting his BS in EE and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego. He is currently a Professor at the University of San Francisco where he teaches Health Care Data Analytics and Clinical Decision Support.
Andrew is also the co-founder and CTO of klaraHealth, a digital health startup that is solving the data usability problem by making it easy for anyone to work with healthcare data, with an initial focus in behavioral health and therapy management. Andrew’s other interests include integration and analysis of physiological sensor data to quickly and accurately detect changes in a patient’s clinical state.
Dr. Erfan Ibrahim, PhD
Director at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, DOE
Dr. Erfan Ibrahim brings 28 years of professional experience after a PhD in Nuclear Engineering to NREL. NREL is a Department of Energy Lab focused on all aspects of renewable energy, environment, energy efficiency, and computational science and biological sciences.
Dr. Ibrahim has worked in diverse areas including nuclear fusion engineering, plasma physics, telecom network management, wireless communications, Smart Grid, and cybersecurity. He is frequently solicited to speak on energy and cybersecurity topics at public conferences, workshops and panel discussions. His past roles include Chief Scientist & Strategic Innovations Director, Penn State University, Principal Consultant, Energy sector practice, Scitor Corporation and Technical Executive at EPRI, Palo Alto.
Dr. Ibrahim graduated with Honors in Physics (Suma cum laude) from Syracuse University in NY, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from UT Austin, and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from University of California, Berkeley.
